The BB&T Chair in Free Market Thought

The Economics Department invites applications for The BB&T Chair in
Free Market Thought at the Associate or Full Professor level, starting
August 15, 2008. An established record of excellence in research and
teaching is required. The Chair holder will be expected to produce
high-quality scholarship with publications in leading economics
journals, chair dissertations, and teach both undergraduate courses and
graduate courses in the department’s Ph.D. program. Applicants with a
background in political economy, generally defined, will be given
preference, but the field of specialization is open. The Chair holder
must be qualified to teach a new course on the moral foundations of
capitalism.
