From the Feb. 4, 1907 NYT: A man who subsequently told the police he was Andrew J. Reese, 41 years old, of Baltimore, went to the White House to-day and asked to see the President. Being asked the object of his mission, he said Prof. Moore, chief of the Weather Bureau, had been filling the atmosphere full of heat and making the country too hot to live in. He thought he could induce the President to remove MOore and give him the job and that in that case he could off the weather so as to make it more bearable.Today would he be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize?
