Bias in the academy
Ok, I know this is a "dog bites man" kind of thing, but the NYT has an article about the overwhelming number of Democrats relative to Republicans among faculty in colleges and universities. The article cites some work by Dan Klein of Santa Clara University (who is one of the best young and most innovative economists in the country). Here are a couple factoids:
The ratio of Democratic to Republican professors ranged from 3 to 1 among economists to 30 to 1 among anthropologists. Posted by Robert Lawson at 01:54 PM
